If you’re just starting out how to wheelie, make little movements at first. Try to do both throttle snapping and clutching it up. But do what you feel more comfortable with. If you like to hold on the bar tight and not mess with the clutch then do it. First gear first, then get on the gas at 30kph/20mph, back off a bit and then give it little snap on the throttle back on, but not wide open. You will now get a feel for it tugging the front wheel up. The more snap the more up the front will go.
Second step is second gear. Second gear is going to send you flying if you aren’t used to it so start out in first gear. The good thing about second gear is balance. It’s easier to balance the faster you go so, in first gear you got to take it easy on the gas whether clutching it or doing power wheelie (like what my big brother is doing in the picture at the Capitol Grounds in Lingayen). First gear is just easier to learn on how to wheelie a bike. Start by trying to get the front wheel 6 inches off the ground, small goal (but if you’re using a powerful bike, you can start on second or even at third). Remember to get those toes over the rear brake. Cover your brake as the bike is coming up but you won’t need it right away when you’re 6 inches off the ground. Also take into consideration about this one, look ahead and when you learn to clutch it up you will have full control. Don’t be scared to use that throttle and that rear brake. Practice makes perfect!

Reminder:
*First thing you need to know is COVER THE REAR BRAKE. If you get nervous hit the back brake at once.
*Second is look where you want to go.
*Third - practice small.
